Every person deserves affirming care that is both accessible and rooted in the understanding that our dignity is directly tied to respect for our identity, our wishes for care, and our care circle (chosen family). This is true when experiencing a medical emergency and especially while navigating end-of-life.
Layer in the LGBTQ+, poly, and solo aging experience and folks are at a higher risk for disenfranchisement and discrimination.
These sessions will address the gaps and empower attendees and their care circle to make informed decisions that can protect them in medical settings, legal settings, and at end-of-life.
May 16: Preserving your identity; essential emergency & end-of-life considerations; wills vs. trusts; case studies; choosing powers of attorney (legal, medical, financial); and protecting your peace.
May 30: Part document clinic, part workshop. We'll help you assemble your paperwork with notaries on hand, and introduce some additional layers of protection for consideration.
